SPRINGING INTO ACTION

February is the shortest month and it proved to be, after we settled into the office and got organized suddenly it was Valentine’s and now we are approaching March next week… Where is the time going? Many exciting things are happening at KPI this spring...

In publication news, Kristin Paton Interiors will be featured in the March and April issue of New England Home Magazine. The issue displays our Cambridge Home and Carriage House project shot by photographer Jared Kuzia… We couldn’t think of a better fitting project to showcase in the spring issue. This cheery home received a significant renovation for empty nesters, relocating to Cambridge from the North Shore. We filled the home with serene colors of nature, bringing the outdoors in, chartreuse drapery and accents, turquoise grasscloth and floral wallpapering, and lush green grounds outside the home… The separate carriage house includes a guest suite, gym, and art studio all under one roof.

Kristin will also be featured in the book Think Like a Decorator by interior designer Leslie Banker. Banker grew up learning the trade by her decorator mother’s side. The most important thing her mother taught her was that thinking like a decorator means focusing on developing the story of the space and its inhabitants. At the start of her career, Kristin worked alongside Banker's mother, Pamela Banker at the venerable firms of McMillen Inc and then Parish-Hadley. It is through the mentorship of Pamela Banker, that she learned how to manage a successful design firm. She is thrilled to be a part of this project and looks forward to you all being able to get your hands on it! Pre-order is available now here.

Back on the island we have made great progress on our most recent Nantucket project… with a deadline for Memorial day weekend, that will be met! Installation for our Chestnut Hill Manor will take place in March as well. Stay tuned for updates over on our instagram page! @kristinpatoninteriors

Lastly, March 8th is International Women’s Day. As a woman owned company, we wanted to take a moment to cheer on all the fellow women in this industry for all the hard work and dedication that goes into this craft.

Cheers!
