This year’s Modern Luxury To Live & Dine event truly was an evening to remember. Set against a theme that stirred hearts and imaginations, "We'll Always Have Paris," Boston’s design and culinary community came together for an unforgettable night, and our team was thrilled to be part of it.
The night brimmed with Parisian elegance, but the heart of the evening was a cause that’s close to our own hearts – supporting the Greater Boston Food Bank in the fight against food insecurity. With $110,000 raised, we collectively helped provide over 220,000 meals to individuals and families facing food scarcity in Greater Boston. It’s moments like these that remind us of the powerful impact our community can have when we come together. Many thanks to Modern Luxury Interiors, and Boston Greter Food Bank for creating this opportunity, and to Tess Woods, Francesca Purcell, Citizens Bank, Eric Haydel, and Mandarin Oriental Boston for their remarkable contributions and support.
Our tables theme was "Gone Antiquing"
Step into Clignancourt, Paris, a tablescape inspired by the vibrant world of Parisian antiquing, fashion, and design. This tablescape pays homage to the renowned flea markets of Clignancourt, where the old meets the new, and every piece tells a story. Showcasing some of Kristin’s personal collection of antiques discovered over the years, it celebrates the art of blending unique finds with modern aesthetics. "Gone Antiquing" is more than a display of cherished treasures; it's a celebration of individuality and the beauty of curating spaces that reflect our travels and stories. As you gather around this table, let it spark conversations about the importance of personal touches and the power of design to inspire and transform!
We used a number of Kristin's personal antiqued items from Clignancourt that she purchased for Krisitn Paton Home, a home store she owned in Cambridge.
The ambiance of the night, paired with the purposeful elegance of the tablescapes, underscored the spirit of this event. We’re so grateful to Modern Luxury for including us and to our fellow designers who each brought their unique creativity to the evening. The night was a beautiful reminder of Boston’s talent, dedication, and compassion. We’re honored to be part of this community and to help bring not only beauty but also kindness to the table.
The napkins were designed to capture the feel of a Parisian bistro after a long day spent antiquing.
Thank you to all the sponsors!
